Blackbaud Inc., a Charleston-based digital solutions company, recently released the results of a Total Economic Impact study it commissioned to assess the potential return on investment enterprises may experience by choosing Blackbaud’s digital solutions platform.
The study, conducted by Forrester Consulting, analyzed a three-year period for Blackbaud clients and determined that Blackbaud’s integrated fundraising, marketing and financial solution program can help an organization increase recurring donations by 36 percent. The platform, according to Forrester’s data, can also lead to a 99 percent increase in productivity in data entry and reporting as well as a 114 percent return on investment.
Save the Manatee Club (SMC), a national nonprofit dedicated to protecting endangered manatees and their habitat, took part in the study. Before Blackbaud, SMC used seven different solutions for its business needs; these solutions were not integrated and caused various issues. SMC then selected a Blackbaud solution and saw positive results.
“The most important aspects were efficiency and integration; having an integrated solution creates a more efficient workflow — that saves time, which saves money, which allows us to focus on our programs,” Tonya Higgins, director of Development and Operations of Save the Manatee Club, said in a statement. “The better we can understand our donors, the more we can grow as an organization and ultimately serve our mission.”
