Boeing recently extended its condolences to the families of those who were killed in the Flight TK6491 accident near Manas Airport Kyrgyzstan, operated by ACT Airlines.
A Boeing technical team traveled to the accident site to provide assistance at the request and under the direction of the National Transportation Safety Board, which is the Unites States’ accredited R\representative to the investigation.
On Jan. 16, a Boeing 747-412F, used as a scheduled international cargo flight operated by ACT Airlines, on behalf of Turkish Cargo, from Hong Kong to Istanbul via Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, crashed during landing at its scheduled stopover at Manas International Airport in Bishkek.
Thirty-nine people, including all four crew members onboard and 35 residents located by the airport, were killed in the accident. In addition, at least 15 people on the ground were injured, including six children.
At least 23 houses were destroyed at the crash site.
