The Calhoun Honors College at Clemson University is ranked as one of the top 10 honors colleges in the United States by Public University Honors.
Public University Honors studied 75 honors programs before making its list of the best. It published a book, “Inside Honors,” providing an in-depth analysis of the top schools. Schools that made the top of the list were chosen based on the number of honors sections, honors credits required for graduation, the graduation rate and several other factors.
Calhoun Honors College received a 5.0 rating, the highest a school could receive.
The Calhoun Honors College hosts nearly 1,400 students. The median SAT score of freshmen upon entry to the school is 1,440; on average, these students rank in the top 1.2 percent of their high school classes as well.

"It’s clear evidence of the Honors College’s and the university’s strong commitment to academic excellence."
