The South Carolina AgriBiz and Farm Expo will be held Jan. 11-12 at the Florence Civic Center.

The expo represents all aspects of agriculture and costs $5 per person, or free for children age 10 and under that enter with a parent. Tickets can be paid for with cash at the ticket booths at the Florence Civic Center, 3300 West Radio Drive.

“Education is a vital part of the South Carolina AgriBiz Expo,” Thomas Dobbins, director of the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, said. “Several educational sessions that are designed to help South Carolina farmers be productive will be held during the expo.”

Clemson experts will present farming-related topics such as organic crop production and agribusiness food safety.

The theme for the educational sessions is “Efficiency on Your Farm.”

Many events take place during the two-day expo, such as a food truck rodeo from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

The AgriBiz Youth Day event runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. It's free, but registration is requested.

A Taste of South Carolina reception will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. Jan. 10. To purchase a ticket, visit http://bit.ly/2i7S5Os. For a full list of events and more information, please visit http://scagribiz.com/expo/.
