Ebtron, a company that designs and manufactures airflow measuring devices, is expanding its Horry County operations in a move that will create 100 new jobs over five years.
The project is also expected to bring in $2.5 million in capital investments. Ebtron is buildup up to four more facilities on property next to its existing location near U.S. Highway 701 in Loris. Jobs for a variety of positions will be posted at https://jobs.scworks.org/vosnet/Default.aspx.
“Ebtron’s expansion is another great sign that Horry County is right for manufacturing," Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corp. President and CEO Josh Kay said. "With operations in other locations in North and South Carolina, Dave and his team could have chosen to expand anywhere. We are excited about Ebtron’s growth and look forward to working with them for many years to come."
Ebtron and its sister companies create measuring solutions to monitor and maintain air quality, humidity and other environmental conditions.
“After 22 years of operation in Horry County, Ebtron and its sister companies are pleased to announce their decision to expand management, manufacturing and product development operations near our existing facilities just south of Loris," Ebtron President Dave Dougan said. "We are excited and appreciative of the outstanding effort provided by the Myrtle Beach Economic Development Corp. over the past several years to keep our businesses in South Carolina, and specifically, Horry County."
