My Carolina Alumni Association has added four members to its board of governors, which represents approximately 300,000 University of South Carolina alumni worldwide.
The four added to the 19-member board are Marva Smalls, Viacom executive vice president of Global Inclusion Strategy; Jamie Hammill, LexisNexis vice president of state and local government risk solutions; U.S. Rep. Brad Covar, who represents South Carolina's 3rd Congressional district; and U.S. Rep. Forest Alton, who represents the 2nd Congressional district.
“We are thrilled to add these outstanding Gamecock leaders to our already impressive list of board of governor members,” My Carolina Alumni Association Executive Director Jack Claypoole said. “The level of expertise and leadership they bring will be key in our continued work to support today's students and re-engage alumni in the life of our university. Their willingness to serve our beloved alma mater by offering their time and talent is a true testament of the Carolina spirit.”
