Holroyd Precision Components is opening Holroyd Precision Rotors Inc. in Spartanburg, the company's first manufacturing operations in the U.S.
“The selection of Spartanburg, S.C. as the location for our new U.S. facility was influenced by the area’s strong training and technical skills programs," Precision Technologies Group CEO Tony Bannan said. "We benefited also from the great guidance provided by the team at the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce and Development Advisors Inc., which helped us make our investment decision. Our factory is equipped with the best production technology available, and we are building a truly exceptional team to manage and operate it. We look forward to working with and supporting our many world-class customers across the U.S. as we grow the business.”
Holroyd is investing $12.5 million in opening the facility. Manufacturing operations will move into an existing 34,650-square-foot building, and the company expects to create 23 new jobs.
Holroyd manufactures special purpose machine tools. It also serves as a sub-contractor and manufactures special screws and rotors for screw compressors, pumps, vacuum systems and other equipment.
“Spartanburg County wholeheartedly welcomes the addition of Holroyd Precision Components to our international industrial community," Economic Development Committee of Spartanburg County Council Chairman David Britt said. "Holroyd’s decision to locate their first U.S. manufacturing facility in Spartanburg County demonstrates the continued team effort of our partners to provide a strong and supportive business environment.”
