Vivint Solar, a top supplier of residential solar power, recently expanded its solar energy system financing and purchasing program to homeowners in South Carolina as well as Maryland and Connecticut.

With options from Vivint Solar, homeowners can finance their ownership of their own residential solar energy system. They won’t need to put down any money. Instead, they will have low monthly financing payments, similar to their earlier utility payments. These payments will increase the equity of the solar energy system that the customer purchases.

After the homeowner repays the financing of the new system, they won’t need to pay anything else for the solar system power. They can also qualify for a federal tax credit, local incentives, and state incentives for their solar power system.

“We are excited to expand solar energy system purchases and financing options to three more of our existing states,” Chance Allred, SVP of Sales at Vivint Solar, said. “Purchasing a solar energy system, with cash or through financing, provides an attractive alternative to power purchase agreements (PPAs) for customers who want to own their solar energy system, and the continued growth in demand has led us to provide opportunities for more homeowners to go solar.”

This third-party financing product was previously only available to Vivint Solar customers in Arizona and Utah.
