2017 Leadership Columbia Class announced by Columbia Chamber

The Leadership Columbia Class of 2017 has been announced by Leadership Columbia, a program developed by the Columbia Chamber that celebrates the current and emerging leaders in the Midlands.

“Each year the applicants of the Chamber’s Leadership Columbia program raise the bar,” Carl Blackstone, the Columbia Chamber’s President and CEO, said. “These individuals will go on to make tremendous contributions in our region and for our community.”

The list consists of 59 individuals who represent the program's 44th graduating class, all of whom will be taking part in a curriculum lasting 10 months. The curriculum consists of monthly day sessions, a retreat, a class project and many different enrichment activities. The Leadership Columbia has had more than 1,900 graduates since it was founded in 1972.

“We are thrilled to introduce the Class of 2017. This year’s class is a completive group of dynamic candidates,” 2016-17 Leadership Columbia Advisory Board Chairman Josh Elliot said. “The class represents a growing desire to lead and a need for change in our community.”
