Boeing, with a strong manufacturing presence in South Carolina, recently announced that Greg Smith, CFO and EVP of corporate development and strategy, will speak at New York City’s Jefferies Industrials Conference at 9:20 a.m. Aug. 10.
The Jefferies Industrials Conference is planned as a three-day event from Aug. 9 through Aug. 11, with a roster of eminent speakers, breakout sessions and more. In 2015, over 200 companies participated and more than 1,500 individuals attended the conference.
This year’s gathering will feature a wide variety of public and private companies across the aerospace, defense, automotive and transportation, building products and materials, chemicals, diversified industrials, emerging and sustainable technologies, engineering and construction, machinery, mining, paper and packaging and steel/metals/mining sectors.
The Jefferies conference attracts institutional investors, private equity investors and venture capitalists along with industry experts. From its North Charleston manufacturing facility, Boeing South Carolina manufactures aircraft components for its Commercial Airplanes division. Boeing has operated aircraft manufacturing in South Carolina since 2004, opening the first of its three current facilities in 2011.
