The recent Farnborough International Air Show in the United Kingdom was the site of an announcment by officials from Boeing Business Jets that the company had sold two BBJ MAX 8 aircraft.

One of the planes was sold to a customer in North America; the other to a customer in Asia.

“The BBJ MAX and its unmatched capability and comfort continues to be a very successful airplane for us and we are just getting started,” Boeing Business Jets President David Longridge said. “The BBJ MAX gives our customers incredible flexibility with increased range, cabin space and baggage capacity.”

These orders bring the total BBJ MAXs on order to 12 —11 BBJ MAX 8s and one BBJ Max 9. BBJ MAxs are among the Boeing Business Jets' offerings of ultra-large-cabin, long range airplanes typically used by the private jet sector.

Boeing has a large manufacturing presence in the North Charleston area.
