One hundred and forty new jobs will be coming to Fountain Inn, South Carolina with the establishment of structural metal components and assembles manufacturing company Tower International.
“Tower International’s expansion in South Carolina is an important part of the expected future growth of our North American operations," Tower Americas President Jim Bernard said. "We are most appreciative of the support we have received from the Greenville Area Department Corporation, Greenville County and the State of South Carolina as we establish our first facility in the Palmetto State.”
The company, which is headquartered in Livonia, Michigan and provides products to some of the world's leading automotive companies, plans to invest $75 million in the new plant in Southchase Business Park. The South Carolina location will become one of many throughout North America and Europe.
Operations at the new plant are expected to begin in September 2017. Hiring will begin next year; more information in available at the career page om Tower International's website.
“Tower International adds to the automotive competitiveness of the Greenville landscape and we are proud to welcome them to the community," Greenville County Council Chair Bob Taylor said.
