Clements to lead ACC during 2016-17 academic year

The Atlantic Coast Conference Council of Presidents will be led during the 2016-17 academic year by Clemson University President James P. Clements.

The Atlantic Coast Conference Council of Presidents will be led during the 2016-17 academic year by Clemson University President James P. Clements.

Clements will be assisted by conference President Lissa Broome of the University of North Carolina. The council will also include Vice President Reggie DesRoches of Georgia Tech and Secretary-Treasurer Marvin Dawkins of the University of Miami. Chairs are Clements, Broome as faculty athletics representative; athletics director Bubba Cunningham of North Carolina; and Nicki Moore, North Carolina, senior woman administrators.

"The accomplished and experienced leadership within our ACC member institutions continues to be outstanding, and this year will be no exception,ā€ ACC commissioner John Swofford said. ā€œIā€™m confident President Clements and Dr. Broome will continue the efforts to best position our league for success in the upcoming year.ā€
