Dom Maddalone and Rahul Dembla have been tapped as officers on the Santee Cooper Board of Directors.
Santee Cooper is South Carolina’s largest power provider, providing electricity for 2 million people across the state.
Maddalone, former VP of information technology infrastructure and chief technology officer for Denver, Colorado-based lumber and building materials company Probuild, has been named SVP of information systems and chief information officer, while Dembla, a former director of public finance for public power and utilities for Barclays Capital in New York City, is the board's new VP of planning and pricing.
Maddalone's resume also includes a stint as global IT director for global engineering and manufacturing company Norgren. He earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from Drake University as well as a master's degree in information systems and a master's of business administration from the University of Colorado.
“Dom possesses 24 years of professional information technology executive experience with national and global businesses, where he has proven successful in implementing technology innovations to drive business results,” Lonnie Carter, Santee Cooper president and CEO, said.
Dembla has also held jobs at Lehman Brothers, A.T. Kearney and Siebel Systems. He holds a bachelor's degree in eletrical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology and a master's of business administration in finance and economics from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
“Rahul has a keen understanding of the challenges facing public power and a proven track record of building relationships with finance and treasury teams,” Carter said.
