The South Carolina Council on Competitiveness recently announced the addition of Suzanne Dickerson as the nonprofit agency's director of logistics industry initiatives.
Dickerson comes to the council after eight years with Clemson University, where she served as director of international business development at the school's Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR). Her resume also includes work in corporate sustainability, innovation management and long-term strategic and structural planning with BMW; she worked for that company's corporate headquarters in Munich, Germany.
“The breadth and depth of Suzanne’s experience in cluster development and her presence with the international business community will be a valuable asset to the council’s new effort to strengthen and develop the logistics industry cluster,” Ann Marie Stieritz, president and CEO of the council, said.
Dickerson said she was "excited to join the impressive team" at the council. "I look forward to contributing to the growth and development of this important cluster for the State of South Carolina,” she said.
