Officials from South Carolina's State Chamber recently announced the launch of a website that will be used to promote Business Week 2016, which is set for July 24-29.
The site, www.scbusinessweek.com, will give students interested in Business Week activities a place to get information, apply for events and keep up with what's happening as the week progresses.
Business Week activities will take place at Presbyterian College. The event, sponsored by the chamber, has been a South Carolina staple for 33 years and is an opportunity for students seeking college degrees or careers in business-related fields to learn about such basic tenets as leadership and teamwork, as well as the American free enterprise system.
“Business Week is one of the ways that the chamber contributes to building a talented and capable workforce to ensure the success of our state’s businesses for years to come," Chamber President Ted Pitts said. "As this event is centered around South Carolina’s students, we understand their needs to digital access to information are growing. The website we’ve launched is a response to the need for a mobile, immediate, and interactive resource for the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs. We look forward to a successful Business Week this year and urge students and sponsors to use our website as a resource.”
This year, $17,000 in college scholarships will be awarded at the end of Business Week.
