Job seekers interested in employment with the City of Columbia, South Carolina will soon be able to check listings through a new online portal.
The portal will become operational on May 31. The easy-to-use tool will allow users to fill out online applications, receive notices when jobs of interest become available, and maintain an online career profile.
“We are extremely excited about this new system and can’t wait for this new solution launch in May,” Pamela Benjamin, the city's human resources director, said.
Effective May 5, the city ceased acceptance of paper applications.
To set up the required profile, users should log on to the City of Columbia’s web site (www.ColumbiaSC.net/hr/employment) and click the “Employment” link.
