More than 70 new jobs will come to Cherokee County, South Carolina when rough plumbing fixtures company Sioux Chief Manufacturing establishes operations there.
"A great network of people here in South Carolina have supported us, and we are proud to be a part of Cherokee County and operate in the fine state of South Carolina," Sioux Chief Manufacturing President Joseph Ismert said. "We have aggressive growth plans, and have already begun working with our customers and future customers to re-shore many of their products."
The $2.5 million investment will see a facility focused on the manufacturing of plumbing, heating and water quality products for residential, industrial and commercial customers open at 815 Pickens St. in Chesnee. The new location will also house Sioux Chief's corporate headquarters and engineering, warehouse and distribution areas and is expected to be up and running by the second quarter of this year.
“From cars to planes and everything in between, it’s been proven that, in South Carolina, we make things and make them well," South Carolina Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt said.
