The American Red Cross of Lowcountry South Carolina recently welcomed a new member to its board of directors.
Dave Miller had worked in blood services for the U.S. Army for more than two decades, and has also been working at the American Red Cross National Testing Laboratory in Charlotte, North Carolina for the past 18 years.
“We are fortunate to have someone so dedicated to serving our country and the Red Cross,” Paula Heinauer, chair of the board nominating committee, said.
Miller's extensive resumes includes four decades of public service work, including time with the Medical Service Corps as director of clinical laboratories, blood donor centers and transfusion services at Army hospitals in the United States and abroad.
“I am grateful to have the opportunity to work in a new capacity with the American Red Cross as a member of the Lowcountry Board of Directors,” Mille said. “It is fulfilling and rewarding to continue to be a part of the Red Cross.”
