Ohio-based consultant purchases Columbia's National ATMs Systems

Columbia-based ATM sales and service company sold.

Columbia, South Carolina-based National ATMs Systems is now under new ownership.

Officials from the automated teller machine sales and service company announced recently that the business had been sold; owner Matt Harris, who had led the company since 2012, cited his desire to pursue new opportunities as the impetus for the sale.

The sale of National ATM Systems was entrusted to Charlotte, North Carolina-based Viking Mergers & Acquisitions and was overseen by Greg White, a senior advisor at Viking.

“I knew the natural next step was to try and find a buyer, but I had no idea where to begin or how to market the business without my employees and competitors hearing about it,” Harris said.

White called National ATM "a stable, growing business with a significant amount of recurring revenue." It was on the market just a few months before being snapped up by David Eastwood, a consultant from Ohio.

Harris will show Eastwood the ropes before moving on completely.

“National ATM Systems is a fantastic business,” Eastwood said. “I am excited to work alongside Matt to learn the business and hopefully, take it to the next level."

National ATM Systems was founded in 1999 by Harris' father. Since its launch, the company has grown to become one of the Palmetto State's leading providers of ATM sales and services.
