Chamber to sponsor May 17 Scaling Up Business Growth Workshop

Ted Pitts

A May 17 workshop sponsored by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Merrill Lynch and Hyper Growth Business Strategies, will focus on "Scaling Up Business Growth."

The all-day workshop will take place at Charleston Southern University and will mark the first time the international workshop will be held in the Palmetto State. Its main subjects are small business empowerment, acceleration of profitable growth and results-driven methodology.

The Scaling Up Business Growth Workshop is a product of Gazelles.

“The state Chamber prides itself on providing every opportunity for our small businesses and entrepreneurs to grow and succeed in South Carolina," Chamber President Ted Pitts said. "Whether it is by advocating for business friendly policies at the Statehouse, facilitating business to business matchmaking like at our Salute to Small Business event, or providing a platform for our small business owners and entrepreneurs to learn how to grow, it is our mission to make South Carolina the best place in the country to start and grow a business".

Pitts noted the partnership with Gazelles and the Scaling Up For Business Growth Workshop as another example of the state Chamber’s commitment to helping small businesses in South Carolina. "We are excited to be part of the first ever Gazelles workshop in South Carolina, and look forward to continuing to find ways to facilitate opportunities for business in South Carolina," he said.

The Charleston workshop will be led by Gazelles International certified coach Billie Attaway, a Charleston resident who has used the approaches to be covered to grow two companies — one in the personnel sector and one in the telecom sector.
