A new vice president of its physician network is on the job at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, South Carolina.
In his new role, Matthew J. Cogdill will be in charge of the center's physician practices. He comes to Lexington Medical Center from the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina, where he served as assistant vice president of physician practice operations. He has managed a variety of types of practices, including primary care, cardiology and internal medicine. His resume also includes time as a management accountant at Charleston's Roper St. Francis Healthcare.
Cogdill holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Presbyterian College and a master's degree in health administration from the Medical University of South Carolina.
“I was raised in Lexington and have seen first hand the amazing care that Lexington Medical Center provides,” Cogdill said. “I hope that I can help the hospital’s amazing team continue to provide outstanding care for our community.”
