Furniture company McWaters of Columbia, South Carolina will be building on its existing relations with Steelcase and branching out into Charleston, McWaters officials said.
"This growth is a testament to our team’s ability to consistently find ways to enhance and optimize our customers’ spaces,” William Gresham, owner and president of McWaters, said. “We’re looking forward to supporting the Charleston market as it continues to grow.”
McWaters employees have long worked with customers in Charleston and along the coast.
“We’ve had the opportunity to work with many clients in the area like AT&T, Blackbaud, Summerville Medical Center, Charleston County School District, Santee Cooper, Gulfstream Construction, the University of South Carolina, and Southeastern Freight Lines,” Gresham said. “Over the years we’ve also developed community ties through partnerships with companies like Colliers, Liollio Architecture, WestRock, and LS3P and the Charleston County School District."
McWaters expanded partnership with Steelcase gives the firm the opportunity to create a physical presence in the area. Over the next year, Gresham said, the firm will launch a Customer Experience Center in Charleston similar to the partners' co-branded centers in their existing locations."
Harry Dent, Charleston market manager for McWaters, will be working alongside business development and commercial flooring expert Andrew Whisenhunt.
“I am very excited for the opportunity to expand the McWaters and Steelcase brands in the Charleston market,” Dent said. “Since joining McWaters in the Columbia market in 2015, I have developed a new perspective and new energy to my consultative style of selling, and I look forward to replicating this in our Charleston facility as we build our staff to service this market.”
