South Carolina-based Kool Smiles, a provider of dental services for needy children and families throughout South Carolina has, via its affiliate dental offices, done more than $5 million in work for which they have not required payment.

Since 2005, Kool Smiles has provided dental services for more than 68,000 patients in the Palmetto State.

“At Kool Smiles, we believe every family deserves access to high-quality, affordable and compassionate dental care,” Dr. Brad Bryan, managing dental director for Kool Smiles, said. “We aim to provide a dental home to every family who needs one by accepting insurance plans — including Medicaid — that many dentists don’t. We also recognize there are many patients in our communities who lack dental coverage, and whose families can’t afford to pay out of pocket for needed dental services. We believe it’s our moral and professional duty to provide uncompensated care in those instances, so that all patients receive the dental care they need.”

Kool Smiles provides services for uninsured patients, but also accepts most insurance plans and Medicaid. More information is available online at www.mykoolsmiles.com.
