A new leader is in place for the Charleston Area Convention and Visitors Bureau in Charleston, South Carolina.
Dean C. Riegel has been appointed to the organization’s Board of Governors.
Riegel holds bachelor of science and masters of art degrees. A 35-year veteran of the health care industry, he is the current executive vice president of business development and government affairs for the Carolina Center of Occupational Health (CCOH). His resume includes management positions at hospitals, health insurance companies and multi-service outpatient medical facilities.
Also experienced in civic leadership in Charleston, Riegel has served as mayor pro tempore and water system commissioner; presently he is a councilman for the city’s District 10 (West Ashley), which includes Shadowmoss, Hickory Farms, Village Green, McLaura Hall, Shiveling Plantation and the Grand Oaks subdivisions.
