Vehicle acoustic and thermal management solutions provider Autoneum is making a $35.5 million investment that will also create more than 40 new jobs in Aiken County, South Carolina.
Autoneum officials recently announced plans to expand existing operations at 1103 Powderhouse Rd. in Aiken to 315,000 square feet. Autoneum provides products and services to light vehicle manufacturing companies all over the globe. The company specializes in noise and heat protection products for vehicles.
“New investments and jobs are things we work hard for in Aiken County and do not take for granted," Aiken County Chairman Ronnie Young said. "We know Autoneum had other locations they could have chosen but we are grateful they chose to expand here. We also appreciate the City of Aiken and their cooperation in making this project a reality.”
Autoneum is based in Switzerland and operates 50 locations across 20 nations. The company employs about 11,000 workers. More information about the new jobs in Aiken County is available online at www.autoneum.com.
