An attorney based at Fisher & Phillips of Columbia, South Carolina has been honored by the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Edward Rawl, a partner with Fisher & Phillips and 2007 University of South Carolina School of Law graduate, recently received the university's 2016 Compleat Lawyer Award — the school's most prestigious award for lawyers who have displayed exemplary achievements in their careers and communities.

Winners are University of South Carolina School of Law alumni; they are nominated by members of the South Carolina Bar and ultimately chosen by a committee that includes the Chief Justice of the South Carolina Supreme Court, the chief judge of the South Carolina Court of Appeals, the president of the South Carolina Bar, the dean of the School of Law and the co-chair of the Law School Alumni Council.
