With the opening of a third South Carolina location, Ohio-based third-party logistics provider Total Quality Logistics (TQL) will be hiring 75 new workers over the next three years.
TQL already has plants running in Columbia and Charleston. The new location, a logistics and sales operations facility, will be established in Greenville County at 300 Executive Center Dr. The new plant is expected to be up and running on May 16, 2016.
“We are pleased to announce our third office in South Carolina with the opening of TQL Greenville,” President Kerry Byrne said. “By building on our success in South Carolina, we are building on our position as a leader in the third-party logistics business. Greenville is a good fit for us with its access to a deep pool of professional talent.”
TQL was launched in 1997, and is now one of North America’s premier freight brokerage companies, operating from 44 offices across 20 states and employing more than 3,800 workers. The company was at the top of the list in the recent South Carolina Best Places to Work survey.
“A strong logistics network requires many partners working together to support the needs of Greenville’s manufacturers and distributors,” Greenville County Council chair Dr. Robert Taylor said. “This strategic decision by Total Quality Logistics to locate in Greenville enhances the community’s logistics network and reinforces Greenville as a premier business location.”
