A new housing community filled with homes designed by architects from across the region is planned for Johns Island, South Carolina.
Dubbed Stonoview Plantation, the development is a project of FrontDoor Communities, a homebuilding and community development company with offices in Charleston, South Carolina, Atlanta, Georgia and Naples, Florida. The homes will be sold exclusively through Carolina One New Homes.
Pre-sales for homes in Stonoview Plantation, which will be located about a mile down River Road near the intersection with Maybank Highway, are set to begin in April. Building will take place in the spring. Buyers can choose from a variety of plans that include elevated construction, main-level owner’s suites and energy-efficient features that are also environmentally friendly,
Home prices will begin in the mid-$400,000 range; homes will be surrounded by moss-draped oak tree, and the community will boast amenities such as community docks with sundecks, floating boat slips and boat and kayak storage. Additionally, residents will enjoy waterfront parks and pavilions, a community pool, tennis courts, walking and biking trails and smaller parks with picnic areas.
