Bringing to the job more than a decade-and-a-half of marketing and public relations experience, Beth Perry has advanced within Smith Moore Leatherwood, a law firm with offices in South Carolina, and is the firm’s new marketing and business development department manager.
“Beth’s promotion is well-earned, and we are excited to have her join the senior leadership team,” said Julie Earp, chair of Smith Moore Leatherwood’s management committee. “With more than 15 years of legal marketing and public relations experience, she has a broad understanding of firm best practices, market trends and the complexities of marketing a regional firm with numerous offices.”
Perry originally joined Smith Moore Leatherwood in 2014 as a business development manager. With her promotion, she will helm all marketing initiatives and programs aimed at drawing in new clients and maintaining existing ones. She has also been tasked with developing and putting into practice a marketing plan that will be used across the firm’s offices in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia and lead to development of the firm’s business, communications and public relations.
Perry holds a degree in journalism and mass communications from Washington and Lee University. Before coming to Smith Moore Leatherwood, Perry began her career with stints at law firms throughout the Southeast, working in legal marketing.
In her community, Perry is active in the Art with Heart benefit art auction, the Mint Museum Auxiliary and the Legal Marketing Association.
