Mount Pleasant, South Carolina-based Choate Construction was one of the 14 businesses, organizations and individuals to receive honors at the recent Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) of South Carolina’s annual volunteer awards.
“We were honored to present Choate Construction with our 2015 Community Spirit Award in recognition of their willingness to go above and beyond to support our chapter throughout the Charleston community,” Alicia Parsons, executive director and the CFF of South Carolina, said.
To date, Choate Construction has raised over $2 million for CFF. The company’s VP and division manager for South Carolina, Matt Brewer, presently sits on the CFF of South Carolina board of directors and was instrumental in the coordination of CFF’s 2015 Shoot for the Cure, an annual fundraiser for the organization.
The South Carolina chapter is an offshoot of the national Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. CFF’s mission is to support research that will lead to a cure for cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease marked by chronic lung infections that impedes a patient’s ability to breathe.
Choate Construction is one of the Southeast region’s leading general contracting companies, providing clients with base and interior construction services and operating offices throughout South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia.
