An International Finance Seminar is set to take place at the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce office on March 16.
The seminar is sponsored by the World Trade Center Charleston (WTCC), an arm of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. It will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon; the chamber offices are located at 4500 Leeds Ave., Suite 100 in North Charleston.
The main topic of the seminar will be global sales. Expert presenters scheduled to appear include Andrew Collins, managing partner for Bannockburn Global Forex LLC; Marris Ellison, principal for Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice; Dan Holt, international finance specialist for the U.S. Export Assistance Center; and Sharyn Koenig, managing director of the eastern region for EXIM (Export-Import) Bank.
The speakers will discuss export financing, insuring international receivables, letters of credit and exchange rates.
Chamber members and non-members are invited to attend the seminar. Cost for members is $20, pre-registration, and $25 for day-of registration. The non-member cost is $40 for pre-registration and $45 on the day of the seminar.
