After a stint at the company's office in Irvine, California, Professional engineer (PE) Alfred Manalac is back at work at Stantec's Charleston, South Carolina location.
He holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering and is also a registered professional engineer.
Manalac will serve Stantec as a a senior design engineer and project manager, and brings to the Charleston office more than 20 years of experience in the engineering field.
His extensive resume also includes time working as a civil engineer on a number of projects, a large percentage of which were in the Charleston area. These include the Bees Ferry Road Commercial Area, Berkeley Electric Cooperative Substations, Ralph H. Johnson Medical Center and the Charleston Navigation Headquarters.
Another new addition to Stantec's Charleston office is Josh Mitchell, EIT, who will serve the company as a designer. He holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in civil engineering, both from Clemson University.
Mitchell comes to Stantec after serving as a graduate research assistant at Clemson University, where he was instrumental in the development of the school's ITS-based access management. He also helped to develop the South Carolina Department of Transportation's online training module.
In North and South Carolina, Stantic has a staff of more than 200. The company provides landscape architecture, and transportation, environmental, civil, and structural engineering.
