Sara Vaughn is the newest member of the staff at South Carolina-based GEL Engineering LLC (GEL).
Vaughn will serve as an environmental scientist with GEL's Environmental Group. She has more than four years of environmental research and analysis experience and is also skilled in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), wetland restoration and field data collection.
Vaughn earned a master of science degree in environmental studies from the College of Charleston. She also holds a bachelor of science degree with a dual major in biology and marine science from the University of Alabama.
Vaughn's first duties will include doing phase 1 environmental site assessments (ESAs), industrial hygiene sampling activities, and field sampling for soil, groundwater, surface water and sediment.
GEL, launched in 1981, is based in Charleston and also operates offices in Greenville, South Carolina and Raleigh, North Carolina. GEL's engineers are equipped to assist clients with a full suite of environmental, engineering, surveying, industrial hygiene and stack testing services.
