Courtney Fisher has joined the team at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia, South Carolina as a case manager.
"I am passionate about working with children because I truly feel that strong positive interactions and examples are essential in helping nurture a future population of productive and successful individuals," Fisher said.
Fisher, who holds a degree in experimental psychology from the University of South Carolina and a master's degree in social psychology from Walden University, will be charged with matching up mentors and the children served by Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia is an affiliate member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. The organization matches adult volunteers with children, then provides monitoring and support throughout the relationship.
