A lawyer with Columbia, South Carolina-based firm Sowell Gray Stepp & Laffitte LLC has been tapped to serve on the Kids' Chance of South Carolina board of directors.
Eve Goodstein will join the board of the organization, which is committed to assisting children whose parents have been killed or injured in accidents on their jobs with education funding. To date, Kids' Chance has given students in South Carolina more than $800,000 in educational assistance.
Goodstein grew up in Summerville, South Carolina. She went on to graduate from the University of South Carolina School of Law and was hired by Sowell Gray in 2015.
The areas of law in which Goodstein specializes include workers' compensation.
In 2016, Sowell Gray will mark two decades in operation. The firm encourages its attorneys, who represent clients ranging from multi-national corporations to small businesses and individuals, in their community service pursuits.
