The South Carolina Bar Association recently elected J. Hagwood Tighe to serve as its House of Delegates' chairperson.
Tighe serves as a partner with the Fisher & Phillips law firm’s Columbia office. His specialty lies in employment and labor law; he typically represents the side of business and corporate management in litigation relating to labor and employment matters.
In addition, the state’s Supreme Court has granted specialist status to Tighe in this area of law practice. Tighe has also given lectures regarding employment law in addition to articles regarding this area.
The state bar association consists of approximately 15,000 members across the state. This includes representation from all judicial circuits. The House of Delegates is tasked with establishing bar policies each year.
