Nekki Shutt of the Callison Tighe & Robinson LLC law firm recently earned a South Carolina Leadership in Law Award from South Carolina Lawyers Weekly.
The award is given by the publication to lawyers who have an effect on the legal industry, contribute to society and earn professional success.
Shutt is one of 30 who received the award this year, all of whom will be honored at an awards dinner in March. Shutt was also profiled in the Jan. 18 edition of South Carolina Lawyers Weekly.
Along with Callison Tighe member M. Malissa Burnette, Shutt was the lead counsel in the case that helped make same-sex marriage legal in South Carolina.
Shutt's practice focuses on employment law. She is a certified employment law specialist.
