Webster University, based in St. Louis, Missouri, recently recognized one of the staff members at its North Charleston, South Carolina campus for a decade of service.
Summerville, South Carolina resident Jim Friar is an adjunct facility member at Webster. His award was presented to him by Webster University President Elizabeth J. Strobel.
During his tenure at Webster, Friar has taught marketing and public relations courses at Webster's North Charleston Campus. Until his retirement, he served the government of Dorchester County, South Carolina as director of economic development.
He is also active in his community, volunteering with business counseling and entrepreneur organization SCORE, with which he assists with seminars and workshops.
