Ground has been broken for a new shopping center at the intersection of the Highway 17 bypass and Highway 544 in Surfside Beach, South Carolina, said officials of its development company, Burroughs & Chapin Co. Inc. of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The project will be a 10,000 square-foot center near the existing South Strand Commons shopping center. Tenants in the new center will include national chains Panera Bread, EyeMart Express and MOD Pizza.
“The Myrtle Beach market is growing steadily, and we continue to focus on bringing in new and innovative businesses,” Patrick Walsh, SVP of asset management and commercial leasing with Burroughs & Chapin, said. “We’re thrilled to partner with successful brands like Panera Bread, MOD Pizza, and EyeMart Express, which have set the standard for quality and value in the fast casual restaurant and optical industries.”
The estimated construction completion date is fall of this year.
