Jim Bull of Chapin, South Carolina was chosen recently as the winner of the Clemson Alumni Association's 2015 Frank Kellers III Volunteer of the Year Award.
The award, introduced in 1988, is given annually to a former Clemson student who has participated faithfully in volunteer activities at Clemson. It was named in honor or Frank Kellers III, a 1957 Clemson graduate who provided backing for Clemson's many clubs and organizations.
Bull has been active in the alumni association. In 2015 he stepped up to chair a reception at Columbia High School for students interested in attending Clemson and attended most of the student send-offs.
He has served multi-year stints as an officer for the Lexington County Clemson Club and been a volunteer for the university's Columbia Tiger Town Bound Reception and the Lexington Prowl & Growl.
Bull has acted as a representative for Clemson's I Pay Ten a Year (IPTAY) organization, which supports student athletes. He has led the university's Student Engagement Committee and Marketing Committee for the Board of Visitors.
