Todd Serbin will bring many years of intellectual property (IP) experience — some gained abroad — to his new role as special counsel for Nexsen Pruet, one of South Carolina's largest law firms.
“Having practiced overseas for a number of years, Todd brings a wealth of international IP experience to the firm,” John Sowards, Nexsen Pruet's board chairman, said. “When looking ahead at our IP practice, Serbin will play a vital role in offering next-level capabilities and service to our clients.”
Serbin, who has been a practicing lawyer for almost 20 years, will work for Nexsen Pruet's intellectual property group on cases related to patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and entertainment law.
Serbin earned a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan before going on to receive his law degree from the Villanova University School of Law.
“I am looking forward to being able to offer my clients the expert skill and resources of a one-stop shop, full-service law firm,” said Serbin, who came to Nexsen Pruet after working for Philadelphia-based Nachmias Morris & Alt, P.C., Ehrlich & Fenster, Ltd. in Tel Aviv, Israel, and Lott & Friedland, P.A. in Miami.
Nexsen Pruet has offices in Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, Hilton Head, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
