South Carolina's Pope Flynn law firm was ranked twice in The Best Lawyers in America 2016 listing, a national peer review ranking done in collaboration with U.S. News & World Report.
Pope Flynn's Columbia, South Carolina and Charlotte, North Carolina offices both achieved Tier 1 metropolitan rankings in public finance as well as a Tier 2 ranking in the overall Public Finance list.
For a firm to make the Best Law Firms rankings, at least one attorney from that firm must be included in the annual Best Lawyers peer-review ranking. Pope Flynn had three: Margaret Pope, who has been listed in Best Lawyers for 13 years; Joe Lucas, who has been on the list since 2005; and Matt Davis, who is newly listed in 2016.
“We are always thankful for the acknowledgement of our peers in the practice of public finance,” Joe Lucas, a managing member of Pope Flynn, said. “But we take the most satisfaction from the success of our clients. Every day we strive to give our clients the best expertise and service we can in the development of secure, economical public finance options.”
Pope Flynn's attorneys specialize in public finance and governmental law.
The ranking includes more than 12,000 firms from all over the country, using evaluations from clients and other attorneys as well as other information required during a formal submission process.
Pope Flynn also operates an office in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
