Start-up company Green Fence Recycling Corp. is making a $2.5-million investment in Marion County, South Carolina by launching operations at 3630 E. Highway 76 in Mullins.
"Marion County Council welcomes Green Fence Recycling to Marion County," Marion County Council chair Buddy Collins said. "We’re thankful for the jobs they’re supplying. We look forward to a long relationship with the company and are here to assist in any way we can.”
Green Fence serves customers throughout the United States and China, specializing in the processing of mixed rigid plastics and polypropylene. The Mullins facility will cover 65,000 square feet and is on track to be completed by February.
Over the next five years, the company, which began operations in 2014, will create 40 new jobs. Applications for positions will be taken online via the SC Works website.
Green Fence offers a variety of plastic recycling services including sorting, shredding and cleaning.
