With its planned expansion project, industrial manufacturing company Monti Inc. will make a $500,000 investment in its Greenwood County, South Carolina facility.
The expansion will put in place new equipment, including a second CNC lathe and a new C02 laser, in its Greenwood plant, which is located at 104 Airport Industrial Rd. Services provided by the factory include machining, fabrication, laser cutting and CNC lathe.
"Our customers requested our previous additions of laser cutting services and CNC lathe capabilities to help them with local solutions and faster lead-times," Nick LaVigne, plant manager at the Greenwood facility, said. "We have already outgrown that equipment and need to make further investments in advanced machinery to continue to better serve our customers’ needs.”
Monti is based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Operations in Greenwood were launched in 2005.
"We celebrate the continued success of South Carolina’s manufacturing industry, as yet another one of our existing businesses has decided to expand operations within our borders," Bobby Hitt, South Carolina's Secretary of Commerce, said. "Monti Inc.’s investment in its Greenwood County facility is a testament to the company’s commitment to its customers, the local community and our state as a whole.”
