Chuck Spangler is the new president of the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (SCMEP), a nonprofit organization that provides services such as consulting, courses, seminars and training for manufacturing facilities throughout the Palmetto State.
Spangler has been a part of SCMEP for 22 years. He is the organization's most recent chief operating officer. During his tenure, he has worked with thousands of South Carolina companies, helping them increase operational efficiencies and improve their financial standing.
"I am honored the SCMEP board of directors chose me to bring a shared vision and change to SCMEP,” Spangler said. “I look forward to working with the SCMEP board and employees to drive SCMEP to new heights."
Spangler holds a bachelor of science degree in textile management from North Carolina State University.
“After a thorough and deliberate national selection process, the board of directors is delighted that Chuck will lead SCMEP as we continue to expand our business consulting services for South Carolina manufacturers,” Bob Hurst, chairman of SCMEP's board of directors, said.
