Lakeside Steel and Machine invests $2.5 million in Anderson County expansion.  

Heavy steel and metal fabrication company Lakeside Steel and Machine, Inc., is making a $2.5 million investment in Anderson County with the expansion of existing operations in Anderson, South Carolina.

“Lakeside Steel and Machine has been a part of our county family for many years now," Anderson County Council Chairman Tommy Dunn said. "We have watched them grow over the years. Jack and Brad Jenkin’s success is proof ... Anderson County is the place to build a business and to build a life.”

The expansion is expected to create 13 new jobs over the next five years.

Family-owned Lakeside Steel and Machine began operations in 1985 and now serves customers all over the United States.

“Anderson County is home to our company and our family," Lakeside Vice President Brad Jenkins said. "Our company started out doing business with our neighbors and now our neighborhood is expanding. These are exciting times for Lakeside Steel and Machine and we are proud to be growing and representing Anderson County in the Upstate and across the U.S.A.”
