The South Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCDA) recently opened an office of Agribusiness Development.
"The South Carolina Department of Agriculture recognizes that a greater percentage of our national economy is operating on a global scale," an SCDA news release said. "South Carolina ranks third in the nation for globalization, and with the continuous growth of opportunities within the U.S. agribusiness industry, South Carolina is well-positioned to increase its own economic impact from agribusiness."
The new office will be helmed by Jack Shuler with an aim to help South Carolina's farmers meet their needs and take advantage of emerging opportunities in the state's agribusiness sectors. To accomplish this, the office will offer assistance to any South Carolina farmers who desire to expand or practice crop diversification. The office will find and make available to farmers new agribusiness options.
For more information, email Shuler at email@example.com.
