S.C. Chamber applauds passage of Ex-Im Bank reauthorization.

The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce lauded the recent passage of the Ex-Im Bank reauthorization by the U.S. House of Representatives.

“We are glad the House of Representatives has finally acted on behalf of the American people to reauthorize the Ex-Im Bank," Chamber President and CEO Ted Pitts said. "The bank has supported billions in exports from the state of South Carolina, helping small businesses reach markets they wouldn’t reach otherwise and creating jobs and economic opportunity across our state. This reauthorization is critically important to the business community in South Carolina, and I urge the senate to act quickly to get the Ex-Im bank back up and running.”

Members of the South Carolina delegation who voted for the reauthorization were Mark Sanford (SC-1), Joe Wilson (SC-2), Jim Clyburn (SC-6) and Tom Rice (SC-7).
