Global technology products and solutions firm ScanSource Inc. has announced plans to expand its Greenville County, South Carolina, headquarters.
“Our corporate headquarters in Greenville plays an important strategic role in our global business, as it enables us to centralize some processes and share best practices, while also supporting the local needs of each geography," ScanSource CEO and Co-Founder Mike Baur said.
The $6 million expansion will create more than 100 jobs for highly skilled workers over the next five years. About 650 employees work at the corporate headquarters campus at Logue Court off Pelham Road in Greenville.
The Greenville headquarters has been expanded five times over the past decade and now occupies more than 175,000 square feet in two buildings on more than 24 acres on Pelham Road.
The expansion will convert about 30,000 square feet of warehouse space into office space for a growing sales force and support staff.
ScanSource operates 43 offices across North America, South America and Europe and employs 2,100 workers worldwide.
“ScanSource has been a model corporate citizen since its founding in Greenville in 1992, and they are a great example how successful a company can be when they dedicate themselves to the community in which they work, live and play," said Greenville County Council Chairman Dr. Bob Taylor.
The Greenville expansion project is expected to be complete over the next five years. For more information about ScanSource, visit www.scansource.com.
